WHY BUY OUR HANDMADE SOAP? Seashell Soaps offers the finest in pure, handmade soaps. Our soaps are hard and long-lasting with abundant lather that rinses clean. Seashell soaps are made from scratch in the cold process method. Because they contain glycerine--unlike commercially-produced soaps, they will leave your skin smoother and softer without the drying effects of detergent-style bar soaps. Seashell Soap is made by hand from start to finish--measuring, mixing, pouring, and cutting using water, vegetable fats and oils, and alkili. Each bar is hand-cut and therefore individual in its appearance--no two will be the same.

WHAT'S SPECIAL ABOUT HANDMADE SOAP? Handmade soap is gentler than mass-produced soap. Glycerine, a byproduct of the saponification process (the chemical process that occurs when lye and oil become soap) remains in handmade soap rather than being "harvested" and sold as it is from mass-produced soap. Handmade soap is not as drying to your skin because of the glycerine in it. Handmade soap will last longer if it doesn't stand in a puddle of water all day--please use a soap dish with drain holes!
